The Association of Levee Boards of Louisiana (ALBL) provides
a forum for levee boards throughout the state to work together, promoting,
improving and ensuring comprehensive flood protection systems statewide.
The ALBL maintains active relationships with the local governing bodies,
the State of Louisiana, primarily through the Office of Public Works &
Intermodal Transportation in the Department of Transportation and
Development, but also with the Federal Government, most often with the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers.
